Key differences between 4th and 3rd editions

• Time lapse between previous and latest publications: 4 years (2010 vs 2014).
• The 4th Edition includes 14 Chapters - one chapter less then the 3rd Edition.
• The Fourth Ed. presents new step-by-step instructions for TI-83/84 Plus statistical functions with updated instructions for new TI-84 Plus C Silver Edition.
• TI-83/84 Plus Triola APP includes all Appendix B data sets and is available on the CD-ROM bound with every new copy of the textbook.
• In the Chapter 1 "Introduction to Statistics" the material on Statistical Thinking and Critical Thinking is now covered in a single Section 1.2 instead of two sections in the Third Ed.
• Chapter 2 "Summarizing and Graphing" presents new section 2.4 "Graphs that Enlighten and Graphs that Deceive" which introduces the good and the bad in communicating with statistics.
• Chapter 4 "Probability" -- section 4.6 "Probabilities through Simulations" has been moved to the CD-ROM that comes with the textbook.
• Chapter 7 "Estimates and Sample Sizes" covers material on Estimating a Population Mean in one section 7.3 instead of two former sections (7.3 and 7.4).
• Chapter 8 "Hypothesis Testing" covers material on Testing a Claim About a Mean in one section 8.4 instead of two former sections (8.4 and 8.5).
• Section 11.4 "McNemar's Test for Matched Pairs" in the Chapter 11 has been removed.
• Former Chapter 13 "Nonparametric Statistics" has been relabeled into "Nonparametric Tests" .
• Former Chapter 15 "Projects, Procedures, Perspectives" has been removed.
