- Lind/Marchal/Wathen's Basic Statistics for Business and Economics textbook was first published in 1993.
- The Eighth Ed. is organized in to 15 Chapters -- just as the older Seventh Ed, but includes many nw and updated exercises.
- In the Chapter 9 two separate sections 9.2 and 9.3 cover point estimation and confidence. Previously this material was covered in a single section "Point Estimates and Confidence Intervals for a Mean".
- Chapter 13 "Correlation and Linear Regression" (formerly labeled as "Linear Regression and Correlation") has been reorganized and includes new section 13.6 on regression slope test .
- Former Chapter 14 "Multiple Regression and Correlation Analysis" is now referred to as "Multiple Regression Analysis". This chapter includes new sections:
- 14.7 Stepwise regression, a semi-automated process of selecting a subset of variables.
- 14.8 Review of multiple regression
- Chapter 15 "Nonparametric Methods" (formerly labeled as "Chi-Square Applications") now includes two new sections on:
